Description

Job Coaches support adults with intellectual disabilities in gaining and maintaining meaningful employment within the community. They provide on-the-job training, support, and advocacy to ensure successful job placements and long-term employment retention.  As a member of our Next Step Services team, you will be an advocate for competitive integrated employment. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized on-the-job training and support to program participants.
  • Assist participants in developing work-related skills and achieving employment goals.
  • Collaborate with employers to facilitate successful job placements and ensure a supportive work environment.
  • Monitor and document participant progress, work performance, and achievements.
  • Advocate for participants' needs and rights in the workplace.
  • Assist participants with problem-solving and addressing any work-related challenges.
  • Communicate regularly with Program Specialists and Program Managers regarding participant progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to participant employment activities and progress.
  • Foster positive relationships with employers and community partners.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.
